If you’ve ever considered joining the DSF board, or chairing an event, now is the best time! Some positions will soon be up for grabs, and we’d love to get fresh perspectives as we prepare for the 2026/2027 school year.
Board positions that term out this year
- Communications Chair
Meeting commitment: Once monthly with the DSF board
Primary responsibilities: Posting to Facebook and Instagram while updating content on dailard.org through WordPress.
Benefits: Autonomy, creative control and less on-campus necessity.
Good for someone who: Prefers behind-the-scenes contributions, is mildly techy and likes to keep a finger on the pulse while connecting with Dailard families.
Assistance: The previous communications chair will continue to have Dailard students in the 2026-2027 school year and is available for onboarding and year-long assistance. >> E-mail the communications chair to find out what the role is like - Fundraising Chair
Meeting commitment: Once monthly with the DSF board, in addition to check-ins at a cadence of your choosing with (3) individual event chairs.
Primary responsibilities: Coordinating with chairs of the Jog-a-Thon, Pledge Drive and Dine-4-Dollars, reporting updates and status to the DSF board.
Benefits: Offering overall coordination of fundraising while working with event-specific chairs, getting as involved in each independent event as little or as much as you choose.
Good for someone who: Has creative ideas and loves community outreach, communications and being a part of multiple teams.
Assistance: The previous fundraising chair will continue to have Dailard students in the 2026-2027 school year and is available for onboarding and year-long assistance. >> E-mail the fundraising chair to find out what the role is like - Treasurer
Meeting commitment: Once monthly with the DSF board.
Primary responsibilities: Managing the DSF budget, issuing payouts and reimbursements and assisting with tax filing.
Benefits: Autonomy and less on-campus necessity while staying connected with Dailard and its overall functions.
Good for someone who: Is highly organized, “good with numbers” and comfortable with spreadsheets. QuickBooks knowledge is a plus.
Assistance: The previous treasurer will continue to have Dailard students in the 2026-2027 school year and is available for onboarding and year-long assistance. >> E-mail the treasurer to find out what the role is like - Secretary
Meeting commitment: Once monthly with the DSF board
Primary responsibilities: Taking detailed minutes at the DSF board meetings and ensuring the latest information is available on dailard.org.
Benefits: Strong awareness of all happenings at Dailard with a lighter time commitment and the ability to work at home on your own time.
Good for someone who: Is thorough with great communication and attention to detail.

Available Event Chair Positions
Don’t want to commit to a year-round role? Event chairs love the flexibility of focusing on one event – and many team up with a friend to share the responsibilities.
Commitment: Varies by event.
Primary responsibilities: Overseeing event from planning through execution, while coordinating with the DSF activities chair.
Benefits: Specific time commitment and ability to focus on one thing.
Assistance: Many previous event chairs will continue to have Dailard students in the 2026-2027 school year and will be available to help. But if not, the DSF activities chair is available for onboarding and year-long assistance.

- Open House Nights
- Grandparents Event
- Hospitality
- Multicultural Festival
- Pledge Drive
- Spring Social/Auction
- Variety Show
- Yearbook
- Dining for Dollar$
- Kinder BBQ
