What is Pizza Wednesday? A fun, tasty community event where volunteers sell Woodstock’s pizza and salads on Wednesdays immediately after school dismissal.

Can parents eat pizza too or is it just for the kids? The food is available for anyone who wants to purchase it. Part of the fun of Pizza Wednesday is for parents and even occasionally teachers to be able to eat pizza with the students.

Where is the pizza sold? On campus, near the lunch arbor.

How much is the pizza? Individual slices cost $1.50, salads cost $4.00, a “Dailard Deal” (1 slice of pizza, 1 slice of cinnabread, a drink and an apple sauce) costs $2.75, and a “Power Deal” (a Dailard Deal plus an extra slice of pizza) costs $3.75. So….that means a Dailard Deal only costs 75 cents more than a school lunch and is way more fun!

What is a pizza card and can I purchase one? A pizza card is a pre-paid $30 card that can be applied to pizza purchases. We are holding off on selling these until we are sure that we can sell enough pizza to make Pizza Wednesday a regular event.

Will lunch still be sold during school hours?

Yes, the school district requires all schools to serve lunch during school hours though eating lunch is optional. If you want to eat pizza in lieu of a school lunch, you can send your child a snack to hold him/her over.

This sounds awesome. I want to help! Can I? Please? Please? Please? Yes……we need you. Come help. It’s fun. You don’t have to do it every Wednesday. And, best of all, your kids will think you and they are way cool for being involved. (And your kids get to cut to the front of line as part of your perkJ)
