We want to take this time to inform you of what your child will need to bring to school with him/her on the first day of 5^th grade.  The following is a suggested donated supply list:

1. Three ring notebook
2. An ample supply of lined paper (not college ruled)
3. Several pencils with erasers (not mechanical - #2)
4. One blue pen
5. One red pen
6. Dividers for the note book
7. 12” ruler
8. Set of colored pencils
9. Pencil bag
   
10. Pack of 10-12 colored markers (large)

Of course, the school will have backup supplies for students who are not able to bring these items with them, but having their own school supplies gives students a sense of the importance of their work.  These are the basic tools of the trade, and your son/daughter will be more confident if he/she comes to school ready to work.

Lastly, we ask that you start thinking about volunteering in your child’s classroom in the fall.  We have the usual volunteer opportunities plus special grade level events, which might include 5^th grade t-shirts for the beginning of the year, the fifth grade end-of-year trip, and the 5^th grade picnic
