Wednesday Update–March 20

Keep those donations of gently used clothes, toys, and books coming! The Dailard Rummage Sale is this Friday (March 22) after school on the upper field right after school. Everything $1! Just $1! Be sure to check out the bargains.

Monday, March 25th is the Literacy Comes Alive assembly. There will be two seatings for the school–the lower grades at 8:00 AM and the upper grades at 9:30 AM–and it promises to be an amazing experience. The PTF is excited to present this assembly to the school, and hope you can find time that morning to enjoy it with us.

Wednesday, March 27th is the rescheduled date of the principal selection forum. Please come and learn about the process by which Dailard’s new principal will be chosen. If you have any interest in serving on the selection committee itself, you must indicate your interest to PTF President Cherie Slinger (president@dailard.org) by Tuesday, March 26th. She will add you to the list of nominees and the parents in attendance at the forum will elect the members of the committee. Child care will be provided.

Next week Thursday (March 28th) is–wait for it… wait for it…–Friday Flag! Stick around immediately after drop-off to catch up on all the Dailard comings and goings. Why Thursday for a Friday Flag, you ask? Because Friday, March 29th is the first day of Spring Break!

The Jog-a-thon Awards Assembly has been set for Friday, April 12th. We’ll announce the class winners and top earners and have our raffle and a little bird told us that Mr. McDade was going to be there and it’s going to be a lot of fun! Mark the date. You won’t want to miss it!
